Accessibility statement of Tukija.fi website

Our service is subject to the Act on the provision of digital services (306/2019), which requires that public online services must be accessible. The National Supervisory Authority for Welfare and Health (Valvira) strives to guarantee the accessibility of Tukija.fi in accordance with this act.

This accessibility statement applies to the tukija.fi website.

Compliance status of our service

Our service partially meets the requirements of Levels A and AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1). Failure to comply with the requirements and applicable exceptions to the requirements are mentioned below.

Inaccessible content in our service

At our request, an accessibility evaluation by an external party (Eficode Oy) has been carried out for the service in November 2023. The statement has been created in connection with the evaluation. 

Inaccessible content is presented in three different parts:
1. Accessibility issues that are affected by the Act on the provision of digital services 306/2019
2. Accessibility issues due to unreasonable burden
3. Accessibility issues outside the law.

1. Failure to comply with Act 306/2019

There are some issues with the accessibility in our service. We aim to fix the most critical accessibility issues as soon as possible.

The following is a description of the known issues. If you notice an issue in the service that is not included in the list, please contact us.

Links

The contrast ratio of some link colors to the plain text is not sufficient. (WCAG 1.4.1)

Active element

The visual indication of an active element is provided solely by using color and the color’s contrast ratio to the non-active element is insufficient. (WCAG 1.4.1)

Focus and reading order

Screen reader focus does not automatically move to the hamburger menu when it is opened. (WCAG 1.3.2)

Grouping of elements

Some visual groups of elements, such as search results on the search result page, are not grouped programmatically. (WCAG 1.3.1)

Purpose of elements

Some elements have extra or unnecessary programmatic information, and some elements are not implemented in a way that matches their visual implementation. As a result, screen reader users are misinformed about the meaning of the elements. (WCAG 1.3.1)

3. Accessibility issues outside the law

The Act on the provision of digital services (306/2019) does not apply to documents published before 23 September 2018, videos published before 23 September 2020 or content produced by a third party.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 12 December 2023. The report is based on an assessment carried out by an external expert organization (Eficode Oy) on whether the website meets the requirements of the Act on the provision of digital services 306/2019.
